I had the Spicy Jokbal Fried Rice. It was good, but really spicy. You definitely need to be able to handle heat to enjoy it. It was a bit much for me, but otherwise pretty solid. I do wish there was an option to adjust the spice level.

The most authentic Korean food in the Bay Area. Very focused menu, impeccable quality control, probably the best kimchi in the Bay, and excellent hospitality.
I'll go back and try again to confirm the consistency of the food. …

Sketchy neighborhood, but worth it for the soup and maybe even another round of soju. …

So hard to find truly authentic Korean soups in SF, and SUNGHO got it just right. Price is a little bit high (but honestly where isn’t in SF), but the flavor tastes just like you’re back in Korea. Will definitely be going back.

👌🏻So glad I found this spot! Feels like a home cooked meal from grandma.

We ordered the beef short rib soup (갈비탕), spicy pork bone soup, and kimchi pancake. The 갈비탕 is the best I’ve had in the Bay Area and their kimchi pancake came out extra crispy. …

Walked in on a Friday night at 7:30 pm not expecting to get in but was pleasantly surprised when we were offered a seat at the counter. We ordered the kimchi pancake, bossam, and the pork bone broth soup. It was a total pork fest and I was …

Food is 10/10. I lowered my rating by a star due to service. Our order got lost and no one seemed to notice our empty table even after an hour. We eventually got our meal after I mentioned it. I think the waiters just need more training overall. Despite the hiccup, I would come back because the food is that good.

I recommend getting the Bossam. The pork and the sides were delicious. 👌🏻 The Beef Short Rib soup was also good. The meat was incredibly tender and tasty, but I think the broth needed a bit more flavour. …

I saw this on the Michelin website as recommended.
Food: Menu was limited, likely focused on their specialties. I ordered the pork bone soup and kimchi pancake. The soup was hot and flavorful. Quite filling. …
