THE FOOD is PHENOMENAL! Had Korean fried chicken, Brussels, bao buns, burger, fries. ALL were absolute fire. Service is awesome and most people in the restaurant were regulars and I can see why. Highly recommend.

I went here for happy hour after work and I must say 10/10!! Everything was delicious, I have literally no complaints at all. Food and service were great! When we first got there around 4:30, it was empty, but it filled up in under an hour. I will definitely return for that kimchi burger only!

The food was very good, I loved the rice cake and sausage skewers. The workers were all very welcoming, they gave me an extra plate of dumplings for free because they made a mistake and apologized a bunch. Moral of the story, good food, good atmosphere, happy me. 😛 …

Southgate has the best service out of any restaurant I have been to in Philly with staff that are very personable and even proactive. The food is always amazing, and the bar menu is a lot of fun to order from. I love the mystery beer coming in a paper bag especially.

went for happy hour and they had $3 bao buns ! we got the pork (left) and beef (right). both were so yummy and fries were good too but i will say the red garlic sauce (not the sauce in the cup) was kinda interesting because that’s a sauce usually used for like seafood

Amazing meal! Super delicious meal at a reasonable price. We loved the crispy brussels! The bao buns were fine but didn't really excite us. We each got a dolsot bibimbap bowl and they were absolutely delicious!
