Some of these negative reviews are wild. My wife and I ate there yesterday. Had two dozen oysters, all were incredible. We also got bao which was also incredible. The sashimi salad, which I saw someone knock in a review, was extremely flavorful. That’s all I really have to say! The servers were kind and attentive.

The best oyster happy hour in the east village. And the best part is it happens all 7 days. Oysters are $1.25. Martinis are $13-$15. The outdoor seating is quiet and shady. And Max the server was funny and attentive.

I frequently go to the West Village location and this location is fantastic! The menu has mostly the same items but a few are different and I like the variety. The best part is they have a fantastic mussels, wine, and oyster special on Mondays and Wednesdays from open to close. The service is great and will definitely be back!

I went to Ama with my wife for happy hour. They have a short but solid wine list with a good variety. The oysters were fresh and the shrimp was delicious. There is a two dozen per person limit on the oysters during happy hour. Timmy was a great server. I would return and dine here again if the opportunity arose.
