I went to the 1929 Po-boy Kitchen this week. This restaurant is hands down 10 out of 10. The Oxtails Yakamein was so flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The oxtails were falling off the bones and seasoned to perfection. Even the …

If you have never been to The 1029 Po-Boy Kitchen you don't know what you are missing, I've been in Houston since 1986 and I have eaten all over Houston and this is some the best food you will find in all of Houston. It's June 24th 2025 and this is my 7th time here in the last two weeks.

Service was a 10, atmosphere was great and the only thing I didn’t like was the greens. They used a deep roux for the broth and it wasn’t something I liked. Everything else was delicious. Highly recommend the boudin rolls and catfish and shrimp meal. You can get them fried or blackened
